The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has said its individuals can leave protesting whenever, as the Federal Government is reneging on its guarantee to carry out the Memorandum of Action, MOA, the two gatherings marked last December.
Preparation the press in Lagos on Tuesday, the Lagos Zonal Coordinator, Dr Adelaja Odukoya, likewise blamed the public authority for attempting to disable the association by retaining verify levy of individuals for longer than a year.
He said the levy ran into a great many naira and that the demonstration was executed by the public authority through the dubious Integrated Personnel Payroll and Information System, IPPIS.
Odukoya, who was in the organization of association pioneers from different colleges in the zone, said the association had given the public authority a rope long enough for the public authority to drape itself on the matter.
"We canceled our strike last December and marked a MOA and out of the nine things on the rundown for execution, just two have been finished. The first is the setting up of Visitation. Boards to colleges.
"Would you be able to envision that we as association are the ones requesting that the public authority set up boards to realize what's going on in their colleges?
"Setting up of boards should be done at regular intervals.
"The subsequent thing is the advancement overdue debts and that has not been done totally. Some of our individuals in certain colleges are yet to benefit.
"Would one be able to say scoring two out of nine imprints is lucky? The Revitalisation Fund that they said had been saved at the Central Bank of Nigeria since January this year is as yet creeping and lacks to the records of recipients," he said.
